What an Etsy shop really earns
Most Etsy shops are small. A typical hobby shop makes somewhere between $50 and $500 a month, and a shop someone runs like a part-time job can reach $1,000 to $3,000. Treat those numbers as rough estimates, not a promise. Earnings depend on what you sell, your price, and how many people see your listings.
The money math is simple. Take your price, then subtract materials, Etsy's fees (they change, so check their current rates), and shipping. What is left is yours before your time.
What moves the number most: a clear product photo, a price close to what buyers already pay, and enough listings that people can find you. A shop with twenty listings gets found more often than a shop with three.
